Google Nexus One

Recently, while doing some net surfing, I stumbled upon a phone so amazing my eyes almost popped out. The name of this superphone is HTC Google Nexus One.
It has everything you could ask from a mobile device. Running on a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, bundled with 512 RAM and 512 ROM, you couldn't have asked for something better. Running on the latest Android 2.1 Eclair (Now upgradeable to Android 2.2 Froyo via OTA or manual update), it's performance and speed is without doubt the best in it's class.

Plus together with it's gorgeous 3.7 inch AMOLED display (1st GEN), viewing applications and watching videos has never been better. The contrast ratio of the screen is 100000:1 and the aspect ratio is 5:3 so meaning you will be able to view movies in widescreen mode. That's not all, similar to the iPhone, Nexus One also supports pinch-to-zoom and multi-touch input thus when typing messages using the virtual keyboard, the phone will register your input more accurately.

To make things better, Nexus One also allows you the option to use Swype, a very fun and interesting method of typing messages. You only need to swipe from one alphabet to the other to form your sentences. In addition to Swype, there's also voice command where you only need to input your voice and the phone will do the rest.

The gallery of the phone is also something to be amazed by. It allows you to preview the pictures before you actually enter the album. Think Iris on Mozilla. The menu also has a very cool 3D effect running on it thus browsing through the menu is a joy. It is powered by a 1400 Li-Ion battery with an estimated talk time of 10 hours.

One more thing to be astounded by the Nexus One is the android market. Since Android is an open source platform, this enables developer to freely develop apps (applications) for the Android platform to be marketed to the masses. This is a huge advantage of the Android phone. You can get almost all the necessary apps for a reasonable price or totally free.

Currently the Nexus One is only sold in several countries excluding Malaysia. Though you can get an AP set for roughly RM 2100-2300. The Nexus One also comes with a 4GB memory card. Below are some pictures of the Nexus One.

This is the gallery of the Nexus One.

This is what you call ART!

Hello everyone. Sorry for the late post. Recently I am caught up with a lot of homeworks and assignments. Plus the monthly exam is just around the corner so my time schedule is quite tight at the moment. Okay, back to the post. Today I am going to introduce something which is found only in Paris. I am sure everyone have read or heard or even watched "The hunchback of Notre Dame". We all learn that this "ugly" hunchback resides in the highest floor of Notre Dame where he rang the bell of the magnificent tower everyday. In reality, whether a hunchback really lives in the Notre Dame is true or false really depends on the individual. If you believe he exist, then he will exist in your heart but if no, then just stick to your belief. Now back to the topic. The actual name of Notre Dame is Notre Dame de Paris. It is located in Paris, France. The word Notre Dame actually means "My Lady" in French. A nice name right? Hehe. In actual fact, the Notre Dame was almost destroyed during the 1970's when the France revolution took place. I guess we are all happy that the French government decide to restore it so that we all might have the chance to visit it. Notre Dame is still used as a cathedral in the modern civilization. The picture to the right is Notre Dame during Christmas. Beautiful ain't it? The construction of Notre Dame took up a lot of time. The construction started back in 1163 and it took them approximately 182 years to complete it. The inside of the tower is even more glamorous but I don't think I will be posting them out or else there would be no more meaning to visit it personally. Oh right, I almost forgot. There really are bells allocated within the building. They are position in the different locations throughout the building and if I am not mistaken, the one located at the south part of the tower is called Emmanuel. Besides that, you can also notice flying buttresses outside the Notre Dame which supports the thin walls of the building from falling apart or crack up. This is one of the flying buttress found outside of Notre Dame. One of the main purpose why Notre Dame was more outstanding than the Romanesque structures is because it have a heavy influence of naturalism which is lacking in the Romanesque architecture. It's naturalism influence is greatly shown when you look at the heavily stained glass and it's sculpture. The stained glasses are actually called rose windows and they are rather magnificent and they also look marvelous when you look at it up close. Whenever we talked about cathedrals, organs must not be excluded in the topic. In Notre Dame case, it's organ has a total of 7800 pipes with 900 of them considered as historical ones. It also have 109 stops and one of the greatest organist which ever played this majestic organ is Louis Vierne. He modified the tonal characteristic of the organ making it sounds just like the voice of the angels. There are still a lot of interesting part about this building which we must see it for ourselves. For example the nave and the choir. The roof of this building is also a must see as it's designed is very unique. According to the locals, the structure of this building is actually thought of by one of the bishops during that time and his name I think was Maurice de Sully. They say that he have a vision of a beautiful cathedral and sketch it down on paper before removing some houses and built some roads for the construction of his visionary cathedral and that's My Lady. Well, that's all from me for today. Next is time to go to the beach. *smirk* Oh right, before I end today's topic, here's the reason why we must go to see the Notre Dame with our own eyes. This is how the Notre Dame looks like if one viewed it from the south. Truly beautiful!

Live is just full of wonders

Every time when we are fed up about life and wish it could just end that way, well, we should consider twice as there are lot's of factors why we should live on. First of all, for those art colic, to die without seeing famous pieces of art is just not worth it. It can even be considered as a remorseful death. That's why we should live as there are tonnes of magnificent things on earth for us to see.

First off is the Mona Lisa. I am sure everyone of you know about this famous masterpiece drawn by Leonardo Da Vinci. Now, all of you might be thinking why on earth could this simple painting be so famous? Well, the answer is actually quite simple. After doing some investigation, it was found out that no matter at what angle you looked at the painting of Mona Lisa(also known as La Gioconda), she will always stare back at you with a smile. Creepy eh...but it really gives you the chill when you decide to go to Musee Du Louvre to see it during the night time. Some witnesses said it was alive..*goosebumps*

Besides the Mona Lisa, Da Vinci also created another famous painting and that one is "The Virgin of The Rock". It's really a fine art once you set your eyes on it as the selection of the color is just perfect. It gives you the feeling that Mary is actually moving. Here's the masterpiece.
Ok, lets stop talking about Da Vinci. Why not we go to Michelangelo? Michelangelo also painted a lot of famous paintings but he was more devoted towards sculptures. One of his most renowned sculptures were "David", "Mary and Baby Jesus" and "Piete".

This is piete. It shows Mary embracing Jesus in her arms after Jesus was crucified.

And here we have Mary and Jesus. As you can see, this church is beautifully built and decorated. When I obtain the chance, I will come here personally to see it. They even say you can see the signature of Michelangelo on the sculpture.

Vuala! Here's David. It shows the manliness of man and that man were born with a beautiful body. Hehe. Sorry female readers. No offenses. Thanks for understanding.

Besides excelling in sculpture, Michelangelo was also a renowned painter and his work of art was considered as leveling off with the works of Leonardo Da Vinci. For example, Michelangelo was able to paint the whole ceiling of Sistine Chapel in just four years. All of you might think:"So what? I can also paint a ceiling of a church in 4 years. What's the big deal?" If you think this way then you ought to think again. This is the painting on the ceiling of Sistine Chapel. Try to paint that in four years. To top things up, all those paintings were imagined inside Michel's brain so all of the figures in the painting is considered original.

I am sure everyone is well aware of this one. This is called "The creation of man". It is one of the more outstanding artwork located on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

So, to put it simply, we still can't be fed up yet as there's still too many things for us to view with our own naked eyes. The above paintings and sculptures are solid proof why we can't give up. If Michelangelo and Leonardo had given up due to the extreme difficulty in painting out this masterpiece, then we, the future generation won't even have the slightest chance of witnessing it. Well, that's all from me today. The next post will be concerning something marvelous on this earth. It will leave you speechless...hehe *grin*.

Spice and Wolf

Hi everyone^^ It's been some time since I last post a blog but now lets get things started. Today, I am going to introduced to you all an anime which I personally adore a lot. This anime is full of romance, suspense, wisdom and courage besides love..woot o.O Ok, so here's the cover picture:

Nice isn't it? Here's the summary of the story. It all begins with Craft Lawrence(the male main character) returning back to his country using the "country road". At the same time, the harvest season had arrive and all the villagers was busy harvesting the grains, fruits and well, you know the rest. While on his way to the village trader hut(oops..forgot to mention. Lawrence is actually an experience merchant. Sorry ya), he came across a paddy field where the villagers was just about to harvest the last bundle of wheat. According to the plot, whoever cuts the last bundle of wheat shall be possessed by Horo, the wise wolf who looked after the village harvest. Just when the last bundle was cut off, suddenly, Lawrence felt something boarded his wagon but he didn't have the time to check it as we all know, for merchants, time is gold.

After settling his affairs with the village merchants and chatted with some old friends, Lawrence decided to continue on with his journey. By nightfall, our main character decided to take a break when he noticed that something was moving in his wagon again and this time, lifting all his courage, he decided to find out what was in his wagon only to find a beautiful damsel. But the only unique part of this damsel is that she has a wolf tail and a pair of wolf ears.

This damsel is lovely right? She's the main female character
in this story.

Ok, back to the plot. As it seems, this lovely damsel is actually Horo and Horo made a contract with Lawrence stating that if Lawrence let her stay with him until they reach the north forest, Horo's homeland, Horo will help Lawrence to make absurd profit in his business. Who could possibly reject such a generous offer? I mean, you can get a lovely damsel and tonnes of gold at the same time. Really killing two birds with one stone. The story continues and Lawrence met a lot of obstacles along the way and at one stage he was almost announce bankrupt if the wise Horo didn't turn up and helped him.

That's all for the summary. The rest is for you guys to unveil. A really nice anime and no doubt I will put it in my all time top 5. Well, that's all for now. You will be hearing from me soon on some cool post.

What a weird world we are living in

A lot of people said we live in a normal and quiet world but it seems I have to disagree with that. Human beings often do weird stuff to sastify themselves and it often leave us pass byers in a mist. Here are some evidence that we live in a weird and fascinating world,

Look closely at this skull and you will find all sorts of precious stone. Considering how many generations can you live in wealth if you happen to have one of this. Overall, don't you think the owner have too much wealth until they choose to waste their fortunes on this??!

Imagine what would happen if a hurricane suddenly decides to stop by. o.O

I wonder how can they survive global warming which is constantly melting any glaciers found on earth.

How in the world do they get the car in there?? Is it by magic or super natural forces? Who know?

Picture the panic if they suddenly heard a "crack" on the branch.

If they don't want any visitor, all they need is to disconnect the cable. By the way, I doubt how long can that stone last?? Hmm...
